CES is proud to celebrate many worthy causes with our students each year. Check out some of these events below!
Begging of the year
Getting to know the school staff - every year students are introduced, through a book or video, to the support staff and school counselor the first days of school.
Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon week is celebrated nationally to teach students the importance of saying no to drugs. We spend a week focusing on saying NO! Students enjoy dress up days and have daily lessons during their activity period.
Bully Prevention Month
October is bully prevention month. We spend time on lessons of acceptance, and respect. We also encourage the students to wear orange and blue on two different days in October to show our unity against bullies.
The Great Kindness Challenge
In January, during the official Great Kindness Challenge week, students are challenged to complete as many acts of kindness as possible, using the provided, age-appropriate kindness checklist. With the checklist in hand, students show the world that KINDNESS MATTERS!
